Vape Answers publishes explanatory guides about vaping, nicotine, devices, health, safety, troubleshooting, travel and regulation. This page explains the editorial standards we aim to follow when creating and maintaining those guides. It does not mean that every previously published article has completed every step described here.

Start with the reader’s question

An article should answer its central question directly, explain the relevant context and distinguish confirmed facts from estimates, opinion, marketing claims and uncertainty. Our goal is useful information, not a collection of repeated keywords.

Research and source selection

For health and safety questions, our preferred sources include public-health agencies, clinical guidance, systematic reviews and peer-reviewed research. For legal and travel questions, we look for official laws, government agencies, regulator notices and effective dates. For technical specifications, manufacturer documentation may establish what a product claims, but it does not prove real-world performance.

Writing, editing and verification

Our editorial standard is to check important names, numbers, units, dates, quotations and links before publication. We aim to explain conflicting evidence instead of forcing a definite conclusion. We do not describe an article as independently tested or medically reviewed unless that work actually happened.

AI-assisted tools

Research, drafting or editing may involve digital and AI-assisted tools. Their outputs are not evidence and must not replace checking primary sources. Responsibility for the published article remains with Vape Answers. The use of a tool does not imply specialist review.

Updates and corrections

We aim to correct material errors and update time-sensitive information when reliable new evidence or official rules become available. A WordPress modification date records an edit, not necessarily a fresh expert review. For correction standards, see Corrections & Updates.
